When brides call to discuss their wedding invitations they typically ask about Wedding Programs.  It’s obviously an additional expense so many want to know if a wedding program is necessary and if so what information should it contain.

First of all they are not mandatory but make a great keepsake for your guests and are an easy to way to communicate and share the the following to your guests…

  •  Names of the wedding party and their relation to you and your future spouse.
  • Religious or ethnic customs that may be part of your ceremony that they are not familiar with.
  • Music and/or religious readings that may be performed.
  • Tell the story of your relationship – How did you meet?
  • Honor deceased family members.

Wedding Program Kit

Your program can be as simple as a single sheet of paper that you print on your own computer that is folded or even flat.  And if you’re going to create a more complex program with multiple pages you may want to consider having it bound into a booklet at your local printer or tying it together with ribbon.

If you’re looking for something a little more decorative check with your retailer to see if your wedding invitations are available with a coordinating wedding program.  Even many of the “do it yourself” wedding invitations kits on the market today offer the coordinating Wedding  Program Kits.

What you decide just have fun with this project, don’t wait until and last minute to complete it and lastly…don’t forget to use “spell check”
